In this study, we investigated the bacterial and viral community from samples of sea-surface microlayer sampled inside and outside a natural surface slick in the Baltic Sea by sequencing metagenomes from larger than 5 um and 5-0.2 um filtered fraction and the small than 0.2 um viral fraction.
