资源简介:
This dataset contains the raw data used in the accepted study "Laboratory vs wild populations: The importance of population origin in aquatic ecotoxicology" in Environmental Science and Pollution Research. In this study, we assess how the origin of the aquatic populations employed in ecotoxicology bioassays ("wild populations" coming from nature and "laboratory populations" from cultures) influences the sensitivities to organic and metal toxicants obtained. We found a general trend of lower sensitivity of wild populations to toxicants than laboratory populations, although sensitivity was dependent on species and toxicant groups. In the data set, effective concentrations are available for wild and laboratory aquatic populations of the same species-genus and with the same endpoint, family compound, and exposure time (with a maximum difference of 2 exposure days between both populations), as well as the ratios (effective concentration of wild populations / effective concentration of laboratory populations) used in the analyses. Data were retrieved from the ECOTOX database after the proper refinement.
