The water depth and temperature data was collected in NW Atlantic (limit-40 W) from ships SKOGAFOSS, OLEANDER, and YANKEE CLIPPER as part of Ship Of Opportunity Programme (SOOP). The data was collected from February 6, 1993 to December 5, 1993. The originator's bathythermograph (XBT) data was received via telecommunication by National Marine Fisheries Service, Narragansett, RI.
