Laodelphax striatellus SG small RNA-SEQ

Total RNA was separately extracted from the salivary glands of nonviruliferous and viruliferous fourth-instar SBPH nymphs. For each condition, three biological replicates were prepared, with 30 salivary glands per replicate. RNA extraction was performed using TRIzol reagent. sRNA sequencing data were analyzed using the online platform of Majorbio Cloud Platform. Briefly, clean reads mapped to the SBPH reference transcript database were aligned against miRBase and Rfam databases to annotate known miRNAs and other non-coding RNAs. Unannotated reads were analyzed using miRDeep2 to predict novel miRNAs. Expression levels of known and novel miRNAs were quantified and normalized using transcrpts per million.
