COMMON TURKIC VOCABULARY IN THE LANGUAGE OF BABUR'S LYRICAL WORKS

This article investigates the historical-etymological, lexical-semantic, and functional-stylistic characteristics of Common Turkic vocabulary in the lyrical works of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur. The principal aim is to establish the place of Common Turkic lexemes in the vocabulary of the poet’s verse, classify them thematically, and elucidate the semantic changes that occurred during their historical development. The study applies descriptive, comparative-historical, historical-etymological, and lexical-semantic methods of analysis. Particular attention is paid to the genetic and semantic connections between lexical units in Babur’s lyrical works, Old Turkic written monuments, and the vocabulary of contemporary Turkic languages.
