Comparative Transcriptome Analysis of Sorghum Mutant rog1 and Wild-Type During Floret Development

This project aims to elucidate the molecular mechanisms by which the ROG1 gene regulates cell expansion during sorghum floret development. To achieve this, RNA-seq was performed on fertile florets at two distinct developmental stages (~1 mm and ~2 mm in length) from both the wild-type sorghum line 'Shangzhuang' and the EMS-induced rog1 mutant. Samples were collected at the booting phase when significant morphological differences in glume shape and size were observed.
