These data describe the position of 1 surface ocean drifter (SB-001) from 06/13/2025 to 06/22/2025. The drifter was purchased as a “Build-a-Drifter Kit” from makerbuoy.com. Purchase was funded by a minor grant from the University of California, Santa Barbara Coastal Fund titled Surface ocean drifter for physical oceanography outreach, grant number: CF-202502-13068. Details about the deployment and explanations of the variabe names in SB_001.csv are available in the readme file.
