Digital Archive from an Archaeological Watching Brief at Lazencroft Farm, Leeds, March 2022

This collection comprises images, CAD and site records from an archaeological watching brief at Lazencroft Farm, Leeds. This work was undertaken by Archaeological Research Services Ltd in March 2022. The purpose of the watching brief was to monitor the digging of six geotechnical pits and record any archaeological and/ or palaeoenvironmental remains that survived on the site. The archaeological remains encountered during the course of the geotechnical test pitting were all modern or post-medieval, likely related to the use of the site as a farm during the 19th and 20th centuries. There was no evidence of earlier activity connected to the Medieval Manor or 18th century pottery manufacture in the area. The structural elements that were found are likely to be remains of either previous farm outbuildings or there destruction.
