The National Center of Geographical Information (CNIG), Minestry
of Public Works, Transportation and Environment of Spain (Centro
Nacional de Informacion Geographica (CNIG), Ministerio de Obras
Publicas, Transportes y Medio Ambiente) archives several
digital cartographic databases of Spain and Spanish townships.
The following datasets are available:
- Boundary of regions, provinces and townships of Spain 1/1,000.000;
1/500,000 (sequential ASCII format).
- Boundary of townships by province 1/200,000; 1/50,000; 1/25,000
(sequential ASCII format).
- BCNs 1000: Digital Cartographic Bases (hidrography, roads, built-in
areas, hypsography, ...) (sequential ASCII format).
- BCNs 200: Digital Cartographic Bases 1/200,000 (planimetry +
hypsography, sequential ASCII and dgn format).
- BCNs 25: Digital Cartographic Bases 1/25,000 (in progress); (dgn
format).
- DEMs 1000: Digital Elevation Models 1/1,000,000 (sequential ASCII
format).
- DEMs 200: Digital Elevation Models 1/200,000 (sequential ASCII
format).
- DEMs 25: Digital Elevation Models 1/25,000 (sequential ASCII
format).
