The water depth and temperature (XBT) and Conductivity, Temperature and Depth (CTD) data were collected from R/V FRANKLIN, between July 6, 1990 and october 18, 1992 by Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization. The originator's XBT and CTD data were submitted by Ms. Edwina Tanner, CSIRO, GPO Box 1538, Hobart, Tasmania 7001, Australia.
The output format for CTD data is changed in some ways. The basic format of the data files has remained unchanged, but now many files are concatenated into one. Normally, all stations for one cruise will be in one file, but, if data has been extracted for a specified area and range of dates, regardless of specific cruises, stations from many cruises will be in the same file.
