To evaluate the composition of the seed bank in the dry meadow of the saddle at Niwot Ridge, we collected soil samples from eight plots and performed seed bank grow-outs in the greenhouse. Sample collection and grow-outs were conducted twice, once in 1989 (Humphries 1993) and once in 2023. We also collected data on aboveground species composition at each plot in 2024.
