Bacterial community analysis of the coral Acropora tenuis

Corals form symbiotic relationships with a variety of microorganisms, including endosymbiotic dinoflagellates of the family Symbiodiniaceae, and with bacteria, which are collectively termed coral holobionts. To confirm the bacterial community of the coral Acropora tenuis, we performed 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing in three colonies of the coral. Colonies of A. tenuis were collected from Sesoko Island, Okinawa, in April 2023.
