This register contains a summary record of all Annual Leases for pastoral purposes, offered at auction in the Land District of Balranald, kept by the Balranald Lands Office.The purpose of this series was to make a record of what land had been offered for annual lease and who had bough such leases. This series is succeeded by the 'Register of Annual Leases for Pastoral Purposes', the purpose of which was to record the annual rent payments for the land that had been purchased at auction.The register records information such as the number of the Lot, and number of the Lease, date when offered at auction, County and Parish, area, annual rent, date of selection, name of person to whom sold, or by whom selected, and the number of the Folio of the Lease Register.
