Heatwave Risk Assessment for Izmir (Urban Heat Exposure & Vulnerable Population) - CRIZ-ERS
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains the results of a spatial heatwave risk assessment for Izmir, Turkey. The analysis combines satellite-derived land surface temperature (LST) data with vulnerable population distribution maps to identify urban areas most at risk from extreme heat. Data Source Landsat 8 Land Surface Temperature (LST) Spatial resolution: 30 × 30 m Time period: Selected summer images (2022–2025) Cloud-filtered scenes (<50% cloud cover) Files Included Plots (plots_izmir/) izmir_heat_island.png Map of classified land surface temperature (LST) identifying urban heat island areas. izmir_population.png Map of classified vulnerable population density (elderly and young age groups). izmir_heat_island_valnerability.png Overheated areas (exposure) Vulnerable population density (vulnerability) izmir_heat_risk.png Final heatwave risk map derived from the multiplication of exposure and vulnerability classes. Results (results_izmir/)risk_LST.tif Reclassified Land Surface Temperature raster (Exposure layer). risk_pop.tif Reclassified vulnerable population raster (Vulnerability layer). risk_raster_stack.tif Raster stack combining: Exposure (LST) Vulnerability (Population) Possible_heat_risk_level_to_vulnerable_population.tif Final heatwave risk raster
