RNA-seq of topical Pien Tze Huang treatment on diabetic ulcers

Diabetic ulcers have become a major complications of diabetes mellitus (DM), and are major cause of death and disabling disease. However, current therapies are not effective enough to meet clinical needs. A traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula, Pien Tze Huang (PZH) has been proved to be effective in the treatment of diabetic ulcers. However, the molecular mechanism has not been comprehensively clarified. The aim of this study is to systemically evaluate the therapeutic effects of topical treatment of Pien Tze Huang (PZH), against full-thickness wounds in DM and to investigate the underlying mechanisms.
