we investigated the alterations occurring in the energy producing system in the sugarcane genotypes at the transcriptome and proteome level. We performed the de novo transcriptome assembly of two genotypes (susceptible; Badilla and resistance; B-48) in two different leaf samples (+1 and -3). RNA-sequencing data revealed the significant up-regulation of photosynthesis genes in +1 leaf sheath of B-48, as compared to its counterparts. Expression pattern of differentially abundant genes were further verified at proteomics level.
