Two-photon microscopy of tadpole brains

This repository contains two-photon microscopy data of the developing brain of poison frog tadpoles, collected as part of 1R34NS132841-01. Poison frogs exhibit unusually complex social behaviors early in life, including offspring begging and tadpole–tadpole aggression, making them a powerful model for asking how neural circuits supporting social behavior are assembled during development. The datasets here were acquired to demonstrate in vivo neuronal activity in Ranitomeya imitator and Xenopus laevis tadpoles imaged live under either MS222 anesthetic or Pancuronium bromide paralytic on Prairie Ultima IV in vivo two-photon imaging system with 920nm excitation wavelength.
