People of Iowa

This report highlights information about Iowa's population and it's characteristics. The information presented in this report is based on estimates provided by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Census Bureau as part of the American Community Survey, Five Year Estimates. The American Community Survey (ACS) is an ongoing survey that provides vital information about our nation and its people. The five year estimates have a larger sample size and are therefore usually more precise, which are important when looking at small populations and population subgroups.
