Data of Penaues vannamei Metabolic adaptation of the white shrimp Penaeus vannamei to climate change

Adopting a holistic approach, we assessed metabolic rate (in normoxic and hypoxic conditions), metabolite profiles, and immune parameters in the haemolymph, alongside the activity of antioxidant defence enzymes and radical oxygen species (ROS) in muscle tissue of Penaues vannamei juveniles exposed to the combination of two salinities (5 and 34 UPS) and two temperatures (30 and 26°C) for 25 d. After that time, tolerance to hypoxia was evaluated using two methods: the POcrit, defined as the oxygen concentration at which the metabolic rate depends on environmental oxygen, and the alpha method, which measures the oxygen-delivery capacity of shrimp. This data set contains all the raw data for this study.
