The aim of our project is to study Phytophthora cactorum – Fragaria vesca interactions. Hydroponically grown micropropagated plants of woodland strawberry (one clone of F. vesca, Hawaii 4 accession) were inoculated with Phytophthora cactorum zoospores. Control plants were treated with water. After two days, roots were harvested and RNA was extracted for Illumina HiSeq2000 sequencing.
