HICO and JAZ sensor hyperspectral comparison over seagrass, macroalgae, and water, Indian river Lagoon (2013)

Spectral measurements were collected from ground truthing points of seagrass beds, macroalgal beds, and bare substrates (water) of Indian River Lagoon in 2013. The spectral data were collected with Ocean Optics JAZ instrument. The corresponding hyperspectral satellite data were collected from the HICO sensor. The JAZ data were resampled to match the HICO hyperspectral sensor bands to compare the close-range remote sensing data with the satellite data. Spectral signatures of seagrass, macroalgae, and water pixels are included.
