Index of Progress dataset

The following dataset comprises of two data series: for periods 1960-1990 and 1990-2019. Countries covered include: United States, United Kingdom, Germant, France, Italy, Japan (G6), China, South Korea, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Poland (I6), Zambia, Chile, Congo, Ghana, Uganda and Colombia (LDC's). Indicators include: For 1960-1990 period: value of manufacturing production, manufacturing exports, exports as % of GDP, current accounts balance, share of manufacturing in value added, employment share in manufacturing, capital per employed worker, investments as % of GDP, gross savings as % of GDP, FDI inflows as % of GDP, expected years of education, GDP per capita PPP. For 1990-2019 period: share of high-tech exports, value of high-tech exports, value of services exports, Herfindahl index, exports as % of GDP, services as % of GDP, employment share in services, value of produced services, investments as % of GDP, energy efficiency, R&D spending as % of GDP, education expenditure as % of GDP, tertiary enrolment rate, GNI per capita PPP, share of renewables in electricity generation. Dataset has been collected using various sources, relevant links are provided next to the corresponding series. Some of the values were extrapolated and estimated, all the data thus obtained were marked and described accordingly.
