Replication Data for: Department Research Productivity in 19 Scholarly Political Science Journals (1990-2018)

These data are used to generate journal research productivity rankings for 120 Ph.D.-granting departments in political science since 1990. The main data set includes data on the number of articles published by department faculty, students, and other affiliates in 19 major political science journals for the years 1990-2018, as well as various rankings of department journal research productivity based on different approaches for weighting the data. We include here a codebook and the Stata file for these data. We also include various codebooks and data sets for each of three decades--1990-1999, 2000-2009, and 2010-2018--so that one can explore changes in department journal research productivity over time.
