资源简介:
The zebra finch (Taeniopygia guttata), native to Australia, is one of the most studied birds in science, for its vocal learning abilities and as a representative songbird. This sample is from the mother (bTaeGut8) of a trio (father bTaeGut9, female offspring bTaeGut7). It was procured by Gillian Durham and Matthew Biegler of the Rockefeller University Field Center to be used to generate trio haplotype phased telomere-to-telomere (T2T) reference genome assembly of bTaeGut7 for the Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP), as well as for the vocal learning community. Sequencing and genome assembly were conducted at the Vertebrate Genome Lab (VGL) at the Rockefeller University, led by Erich D. Jarvis, Giulio Formenti, and Jennifer Balacco.
