Our study focuses on the prophage phiRv2 gene Rv2650c,which may play an important role in the intracellular survival of M. tuberculosis. we constructed M. smegmatis overexpressing Rv2650c,The RNA-seq data of macrophages infected by MS_Rv2650c or MS_Vec showed that prophage protein Rv2650c upregulated the expression of Nrf2 and its downstream gene NQO1 in macrophages, which will indirectly or directly inhibit the expression of pro-inflammatory factors.
