Synchrotron Data of Liu-2018-XAS study of gold nanoparticales in hydrothermal fluids

Current theories of the gold deposit formation from hydrothermal fluids have been challenged by recent field and laboratory observations. Microanalysis of gold ores shows that gold nanoparticles/colloids could be important in gold transport/deposition in both primary and secondary environments. This study used\r\nin-situ XAS to investigate the stability of gold nanoparticles in fluids up to 250°C and as functions of silica colloids, NaCl and pH.\nLineage: Data was produced using the Maia 384 element detector array on the XFM X-ray microprobe beamline of the Australian Synchrotron and processed using the GeoPIXE software package.
