Iowa Campbell Automated Weather Station Data

The data are a regional data set gathered primarily to support
agriculture and agricultural research in Iowa. The data are from
Campbell automated weather stations at Iowa State University sponsored
research farms. In addition to the normal meteorological data listed,
some additional derived variables are included, such as growing
degree days and potential evapotranspiration.

Current and historical daily and hourly data are available on the
web site. Note that precipitiation is useful only during the growing
season since a tipping bucket rain gauge is used at each site.

The High Plains Climate Center provides the error checking and data
transfer in support of their database.
