HDAC8 expression is causative for resistance to BRAF inhibiton and increased migration in BRAF mutant melanoma cell lines. Changes in gene expression were determined upon forced HDAC8 expression in an isogenic cell line. Overall design: 1 million HDAC8 and EV expressing melanoma cells were harvested from melanoma cells grown to 70% confluence in 175 cm2 flasks. RNA was extracted and gene expression was determined to account for changes in gene expression upon HDAC8 expression.
