Myelin-Associated Oligodendrocytic Basic Protein-Dependent Myelin Repair Confers the Long-lasting Antidepressant Effect of Ketamine

To examine ketamine’s long-lasting effects on gene expression in the brains of mice exhibiting depression-like behaviors, we used spatial transcriptomics (ST) to analyze transcriptomics on the cortices of mice exposed to chronic social defeat stress (CSDS) and treated with ketamine. Wild type C57 mice went through CSDS and resilient and susceptible mice were selected by social interaction test. Some susceptible mice were randomly selected and treated with ketamine. the depression-like behaviors were examined by behavioral tests and the brain samples for ST were collected 7 days after ketamine-administration.
