资源简介:
Data for the Publication of 'Confined Bicontinuous Microemulsions: Nanoscale Dynamics of the Surfactant Film' in Soft Matter. The files are sorted by experiment techniques: neutron spin echo experiments (NSE), dynamic light scattering (DLS), small angle neutron scattering (SANS) and porosimetry. The bicontinuous microemulision is prepared by equal volume parts of D2O and n-octane and a surfactant concentration of 12.84 weight %. The non ionic surfactant C10E4 is used. Controlled pore glasses (CPG) powder serves as porous matrices. CPG with pore diameters of 24, 46 and 112 nm were chosen. The CPG with hydrophilic surface is labeled as CPG-OH and the hydrophobic ones as CPG-CH3. The porosimetry data were obtained by nitrogen adsorption/desorption and Hg intrusion measurements. Each sample was degassed at 90 °C for 24 h to remove impurities. It can be used to characterize the controlled pore glasses (CPG) in terms of specific surface area, pore sizes and distribution. The structure of the CPG and the bicontinuous microemulsion is characterized by SANS data. A q-range from f 5 × 10-4 to 0.6 1/Å was covered. The bulk dynamics of the bicontinuous microemulsion is studied by DLS and NSE. DLS was measured at scattering angles in the range of 40-100° in steps of 10°. NSE data of the bicontinuous microemulsion in bulk and confined in CPGs with three different pore diameters. All samples were measured at 9 different values of the scattering vector q in the range of 0.05-0.122 1/Å. Fourier times up to 240 ns were tested.
