Kolping Youth Survey 1993

Judgement on the Kolpingwerk by young members of the association.
Topics: length of membership; reason for membership; acceptance of an
office in the association; membership in other clubs; significance of
Kolping membership in comparison to other clubs; extent of offerings of
the club and frequency of use; existence of special youth offerings;
satisfaction with Kolping youth group and wishes for offering;
importance of selected events and existence of this kind of offering at
Kolping; particularly interesting topic areas; possible participation
of non-members in Kolping offerings; characterization of the relation
with selected persons from the Kolping family and from the area of the
church; judgement on the relationship of the youth group to
office-holders at Kolping; judgement on the structures and distribution
of offices in the Kolpingwerk; general improvement recommendations;
attitude to church (scale); judgement on parties; preferred leisure
activities. In the west the following additional questions were posed:
group leader function and possible reasons for resigning from such an
office. In the East the following additional qeustions were posed:
evaluation of a young Kolping group as reasonable facility; personal
ideas about the work of a young Kolping group; perceived change of
political influence since GDR times; improvement in personal living
conditions since unification; appropriate reaction of the Kolpingwerk
to political changes.
