Relationship between Viral Diversity and Intestinal Health in Piglets in the Post-Weaning Period

The objective of this study is to conduct a detailed and comparative analysis of the composition of viral taxa present in the intestinal virome of weaned piglets, focusing on differentiating the microbial profiles of animals with diarrhea from those without. The research covers pigs in southern Brazil, with the aim of identifying possible differences in the diversity and abundance of intestinal virus associated with the occurrence of diarrhea, as well as investigating potential implications for animal health and management.
