Complete Genome Sequence of Bifidobacterium longum 105-A, a Strain with High Transformation Efficiency

Bifidobacteria are naturally found in the human large intestine and are used as probiotic bacteria due to their beneficial effects on human health. Bifidobacteria are known for difficulties in gene manipulation, especially in the generation of gene knockout mutants. Bifidobacterium longum 105-A shows high transformation efficiency and allows for gene knockout mutant generation through homologous recombination. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of the strain 105-A.
