China Institute for Educational Finance Research-Household Survey, CIEFR-HS

China Institute for Educational Finance Research-Household Survey (CIEFR-HS) is jointly conducted by China Institute for Educational Finance Research and the Survey and Research Center for China Household Finance in Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in China. The survey employs a stratified three-stage probability proportion to size random sample design. The 2017 wave covered 29 provinces, 355 cities/districts/counties. Over 40,000 households participated. Among the 127,000 household members, about 21,000 attended schools, and 14,000 were k12 school students. The CIEFR-HS collected detailed information on K12 students’ educational opportunities, government subsidies and detailed household education expenditures.中国教育财政科学研究院家庭调查（China Institute for Educational Finance Research-Household Survey, CIEFR-HS）由中国教育财政科学研究院与西南财经大学中国家庭金融调查与研究中心联合开展。该调查采用分层三阶段规模成比例随机抽样设计。2017年调查覆盖全国29个省份、355个市/区/县，共有逾4万户家庭参与，涉及家庭成员12.7万余人，其中约2.1万人在校就读，1.4万名为K12学生。本调查采集了K12学生的教育机会、政府补贴及家庭教育支出的详细信息。
