资源简介:
Metabolic endotoxemia is hypothesized to drive the development of obesity and hyperinsulemia in the murine diet induced obesity model. It is unclear whether the major Gram-negative bacteria identified in murine feces or cecum thus far, the Bacteroidetes, produce pro-inflammatory type endotoxins to account for metabolic endotoxemia. We compared the gut microbiota along the entire intestinal tract in mice to explore the possibility that known producers of pro-inflammatory type endotoxin molecules are present but have either not been detected in earlier metgenomic studies because only a single section of the intestinal tract was analyzed or they were present at such low levels that they were undetected at cut-off levels used to analyze the intestinal bacterial communities.
