We propose contemporaneous XMMNewton and HSTCOS observations of the black holecandidate 4U1957+11. We plan to search both the Xray and UV spectra forevidence of a blueshifted, magnetized wind, similar to that observed inhighresolution Xray spectra of GRO J165540.
