Nontyphoidal Salmonella among Children Under Five years and in Healthy Carriers

The isolates were obtained from stool and blood of children under five years presenting with fever and diarrhoea. More isolates were obtained during follow-up of children post-treatment to check for asymptomatic shedding and among healthy adults. The study was done in an urban informal settlement in Nairobi.
