Accurate snow depth and snow water equivalent data are of great significance for understanding the water cycle process in cold regions. In this study, the snow depth and snow water equivalent datasets from 2000 to 2018 in the Irtysh river basin of Xinjiang were produced by using the China Meteorological Forcing Dataset (CMFD) and the land use data as the forcing of the Noah-MP model, the spatial resolution is 0.1 ° and the data format is tif. The validation results indicate that the accuracy of our datasets is better than that of the two existing snow datasets based on microwave remote sensing in the Irtysh river basin. This datasets can provide validation data for remote sensing inversion and model simulation, as well as data support for watershed water resource assessment.
