Water Quality Modeling course lecture notes and scaffolding for homework problems out of the course textbook (Chapra's Surface Water Quality Modeling). Acknowledgement to Mike Gooseff and Noel Urban - I took this course from each of them at different times in my career, which helped me appreciate different approaches to the content and its delivery. The content here surely reflects the education received from these instructors. Note that a series of videos that accompany this course have been recorded and are available at the URL provided in the resource. These videos serve as derivations, examples and exercises for students, and review of key concepts. Note that I've skipped some, combined others, and generally cover the first 2/3 of the text in a typical semester, supplementing with several lectures on how to use open-source water quality models, such as Qual2K, SSTEMP, and more.
