This dataset contains a manually annotated discourse analysis of Ursula von der Leyen’s 2020 State of the European Union (SOTEU) address. The annotations identify argumentative topoi, ideological strategies, and membership categorisation patterns within the speech using the Discourse-Historical Approach (DHA) and van Dijk’s Ideological Square Model (ISM).
