The neonicotinoid, imidacloprid, disrupt the chicken sperm quality through calcium efflux

<p style="text-align:justify">The dataset concerns the effect of the pesticide imidacloprid (IMI) on rooster semen parameters under in vitro conditions. It includes the results of two experiments: the first involves the assessment of sperm quality after 1 and 3 hours of incubation with various concentrations of IMI (0, 0.5, 5, 10, and 50 mM), while the second examines the effects of calcium channel blockers (SNX 325, MRS-1845, and Nifedipine) to confirm the mechanism of IMI action. The data include sperm motility parameters analyzed using the CASA system and flow cytometry results (membrane integrity, mitochondrial activity, acrosome integrity, chromatin structure, intracellular calcium levels, early apoptosis, caspase activation, and lipid peroxidation). Files in .xlsx format contain raw data from the conducted experiments. The dataset can be used for further research on the impact of pesticides on sperm function and the role of calcium channels in regulating sperm viability. <br /><br /></p>
