Verfahrensdokumentation für NFT: Need for Touch Scale - deutsche Fassung

Der NFT erfasst die Motivation zur Nutzung haptischer Informationen zur Entscheidungsfindung. Er ist die deutsche Übersetzung des Fragebogens von Peck und Childers (2003a), die zwischen zwei Dimensionen, dem instrumentellen NFT und dem autotelischen NFT, differenzieren. Instrumentelles NFT bezeichnet das Bedürfnis nach haptischen Informationen mit dem Ziel, diese zur Lösung von Problemen heranzuziehen. Autotelisches NFT repräsentiert demgegenüber die hedonische Komponente des NFT (Suche nach sensorischer Stimulierung und Vergnügen). Die NFT-Skala umfasst 12 Aussagen. Neben dem Gesamtwert können zwei Teilskalen (instrumentelles und autotelisches Bedürfnis nach haptischen Informationen) mit jeweils sechs Items gebildet werden. Reliabilität: Cronbachs Alpha beträgt für die Subskala Autotelisches NFT Alpha = .91, für die Subskala Instrumentelles NFT Alpha = .91 und für die Gesamtskala Alpha = .94. Validität: Für die diskriminante Validität sprechen geringe, nicht-signifikante Korrelationen der NFT-Skala mit der Need for Cognitive Closure-Skala (NFCC) und der Need to Evaluate-Skala (r = -.06 bis .18) sowie die exploratorische Überprüfung der diskriminanten Validität der genannten drei Skalen mit dem Fornell-Larcker-Kriterium. Die Konstruktvalidität wurde im Rahmen experimenteller Studien geprüft, in denen sich hypothesenkonforme Moderationseffekte von NFT zeigten. The NFT measures the motivation to use haptic information for decision making. It is the German translation of the questionnaire by Peck und Childers (2003a), which differentiates between two dimensions, the instrumental NFT and the autotelic NFT. Instrumental NFT refers to the need for haptic information with the aim of using it to solve problems. Autotelic NFT, on the other hand, represents the hedonic component of NFT (search for sensory stimulation and pleasure). The NFT scale comprises 12 statements.
