The goal of the study was to identify the source of resistance to chrysomycin A in Mycobacterium smegmatis. Spontaneous chrysomycin A resistant strains were isolated and a whole-genome sequence of resistant colonies and the parental strains were performed. The mutations in the resistant colonies were identified by comparing with the wild-type sequence
