NOAA's Space Weather Next Program Cost Benefit Analysis

This report presents a comprehensive cost-benefit analysis (CBA) of NOAA’s Space Weather Next (SW Next) program, structured to align with the requirements of OMB Circular A-4. Space weather poses risks to modern technological infrastructure, and the SW Next program is designed to maintain and extend NOAA’s space weather observational capabilities, enabling timely and accurate forecasts, warnings, and alerts. These capabilities are essential for safeguarding society and supporting strategic objectives, such as advancing US leadership in the global commercial space industry.
