GMRT Data for investigation of SKA methods

This dataset set is the digitised nyquist sampled voltage recordings from the 30 antennas of the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT), and associated metadata. GMRT is being used in this case as a SKA pathfinder. This dataset will allow us to test numerous algorithmic approaches to extract different science targets. The dataset has supported: Software correlation of SKA-Pathfinder scale baseband data. It has been used for software correlation tests both on CPUs, MICs (http://ict.icrar.org/store/staff/rdodson/DiFX-MIC-dodson.pptx & http://cira.ivec.org/dokuwiki/lib/exe/fetch.php/difx/meetings/korea2013/richarddodsondifx2013.pdf) and GPUs (Jason Wang, PhD candatiate, UWA, http://arxiv.org/abs/1305.5639). Observations of pulsar sources in tests of time domain signal detection: (Dodson etal http://adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2014arXiv1407.4605D). The dataset is a unique dataset from a large, low frequency, SKA Pathfinder scale facility. It would be suitable for tests of RFI mitigation in the baseband data, using statistical analysis of the input stream data. It would be suitable for tests of new, some as yet undeveloped, time domain signal detection methods.
