Cambridge Commemorates WWI

Welcome to the City of Cambridge’s First World War Exhibit Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the End of the Great War. This exhibit is meant to honour the men and women of Galt, Preston and Hespeler for their service and sacrifice during this terrible conflict. On display we have, photos of the 111th Battalion, the local regiment, reunion programs, newspaper articles from during and after the war. We also have the uniform of Percy Schartzberg the 111th Battalions’ mascot and items related to RR Brown, a local solider who was mistakenly believed to have been killed in action. Lastly, we have a DVD copy of a training film of the 111th Battalion.
