IGP in cohabiting Crangonyx species in UK

Having detected Crangonyx floridanus (a newly recorded non-native species in the UK ) in a UK lake cohabiting with the congeneric Crangonyx pseudogracilis, we aimed at: i) confirming the ID of C. floridanus and C. pseudogracilis in the study site; ii) to carry out across 2 seasons molecular analysis from gut contents to investigate the diet breadth of these two species, and how they interact with the community and with each other; iii) use eDNA and kick samples on the benthic invertebrates to describe the community available to the Crangonyx species.
