Digital Trust Survey 2025 Dataset

The <i>Digital Trust Survey 2025 Dataset</i> is part of the Human Clarity Institute’s AI–Human Experience Data Series. This dataset examines how adults assess trustworthiness in digital and AI-mediated environments, including concerns about AI-generated content, uncertainty about what is real, perceived manipulation, and confidence in detecting synthetic media.The dataset includes:<br>• 1–7 Likert-scale measures of digital trust and uncertainty<br>• attitudes toward AI reliability, accuracy, and risk<br>• multi-select evaluations of least-trusted online domains<br>• open-text reflections on how people verify information<br>• demographic variables across six English-speaking countriesData were collected via Prolific in November 2025 from n=505 adults. All data were cleaned, anonymised, and validated according to the Human Clarity Institute’s open-data publication protocol.This dataset supports ongoing research into digital trust, AI safety, media verification, and the human experience of uncertainty in the AI era, and provides baseline indicators for future longitudinal tracking.
