Raw DNA sequencing data for ancient Individuals from Uspallata Valley (North Mendoza, Argentina)

Raw shotgun sequencing data for 46 individuals whose remains were found in 4 archaeological sites the North of Mendoza (Argentina): Potrero Las Colonias (N = 35); Túmulo II (N = 3) , Barrio Ramos (N = 2) and Barrancas B6 (N = 6). The data consist in 109 fastq files for 56 libraries prepared. This dataset is associated with the article "Local agricultural transition, crisis and migration in the Southern Andes", Barberena, Luisi et al. 2025.
The data were obtained from human remains to investigate (i) human population dynamics in the Uspallata Valley and (ii) the presence of pathogens, with the goal of better understanding the agricultural transition and migration processes in the region during the Late Holocene.
