资源简介:
A suite of modern bivalves including infaunal lucinids from mangrove and seagrass sediments in Guadeloupe, an epifaunal oyster from a mangrove in Guadeloupe, and an epifaunal mytilid from the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, were collected. The shells were sub-sampled by micro-drilling and analyzed for their carbonate-associated sulfate (CAS) concentrations and sulfur isotopic ratios. The purpose of this dataset is to assess whether chemosymbiosis with gill-dwelling sulfur-oxidizing microorganisms leaves a distinctive geochemical fingerprint in the CAS preserved in bivalve shells.
